Holter Lake is located in Montana near Wolf Creek between Great Falls and Helena. It is fed by the Missouri River, and the lake water is raised by Holster Dam. Holter Lake offers recreational areas including picnics, boating, fishing, hiking, and camping. During the summer, the lake is surrounded by vibrant yellow-green grassy hills, and wildlife can also be seen around the area. The lake has a very diverse and productive multi-species fisheries. Fishes that can be found in the lake includes rainbow trout, konanee salmon, walleye, and yellow perch. Gates of the Mountains, a great tourist spot, sits just south of the Holter Lake.
